HILL OF ANGELS ABBEY TRIPEL

Developed in collaboration with the Keimling Genossenschaft brewers, this Belgian-style Abbey Tripel, which qualifies as one of the strongest beers in the world, is a smooth, almost mead-like honey-coloured real ale that hits 11.20% ABV on the Richter scale.  It is brewed with locally produced honey from Engelberg.

The "Hill of Angels" name comes from the 1820's poem by William Wordsworth in which he translates the name "Engelberg" into "Hill of Angels".  The Engelberg Abbey/Kloster was founded in the year 1120 A.D. (hence the 11.20% alcohol content ;)

Brewed the traditional real ale way using top-fermenting Belgian Ale Yeast, our Tripel conditions/matures naturally for 7 weeks in the bottle (with no added CO2 for fizziness.)
